An American vacationer died in a freak accident on Tuesday when a double-decker ferry transporting cruise passengers to an island tour sank within the Bahamas.
The boat, which was carrying 100 passengers, departed from Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas, and was transporting passengers to Blue Lagoon Island round 9:30 a.m. native time. Video reveals passengers leaping into the water to flee.
“Emergency groups from the island rapidly arrived to render help,” Blue Lagoon mentioned in a Fb put up. “Passengers and 5 workers members have been positioned and dropped at the island, and two passengers have been taken to the hospital for added care.”
Officers say a lady in her 70s was pulled from the water and later pronounced useless. Her identification has not but been launched.

Authorities are nonetheless investigating the incident.
